2019 Volkswagen Jetta Engine, Interior and Price

2019 Volkswagen Jetta Engine, Interior and Price – The Jetta is the sedan version of the Golf and so far the car managed to be quite successful. Sadly though, the current model has been around for far too long, sharing its underpinnings with the older Golf 5. This finally changed as VW just revealed the all-new Jetta.

2019 Volkswagen Jetta Future

the new model is quite a bit more impressive than any of its predecessors. For starters, the new car is using VW’s newer MQB front-wheel-drive architecture. This means it is lighter and more structurally sounds which translate to better NVH levels than ever before. The car should also be safer in the case of a crash. There are some downsides to this platform though. For starters, there is a torsion beam rear suspension setup which is a downgrade for the older model. Even so, the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta should still be more comfortable than its predecessor.

This is another area where the Volkswagen Jetta 2019 managed to impress us. The previous model was basically a Golf 6 with some upgrades. Well, this is no longer the case as the car shares very few parts with the new Golf 7. For starters, the dashboard has a completely different layout which allows the new model to stand out. The infotainment system has been moved higher on the dashboard and it is now enclosed, so it looks like a part of the dashboard instead of looking like something stuck on.The center stack with the wide AC vents and the relatively clean design is also a step in the right direction. We could easily say this is the best looking interior VW released in the past couple of years. Also, thanks to its longer wheelbase, the car have more room to offer on the rear seats as well as a much bigger trunk than most of its rivals.

In the front, there is a new hexagonal grille, much slimmer headlights than before as well as a new sportier-looking bumper. From the profile, the car now looks like a proper sedan thanks to the longer wheelbase. The roof-line also changed dramatically while the rear end doesn’t look like an afterthought anymore which is always great to see.

For now it looks like the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta will hit the market with a 1.4 liter turbocharged inline-four engine. This will deliver 147 horsepower and it will drive the front wheels via an 8 speed automatic gearbox. The European model will be quite a bit more different. This one will likely use a 1.0 liter TSI engine for the base model. The higher end versions will get a 1.5 liter turbo-four offering up to 150 horsepower. There will also be a set of diesels ranging from around 110 and all the way up to 150 horsepower.
